First, what is the difference between single crystal diamond powder and polycrystalline diamond powder?

Second, what is the difference between polycrystalline diamond powder.

For polycrystalline diamond powders, there are also different levels.

The main difference is also the structure of each diamond particle like below particle photo under microscope;

     Level 1                                                Level 2

Although there are different levels, but from our experience, they are all suitable for sapphire polishing. It is only depends on customer's test and choice.

Plus: 

1, no matter single crystal diamond powder or polystalline diamond powder , they will not affect any harm to  sapphires or other type of workpieces; the difference is only which one is better to use? better means polishing effect and efficiency;

2, it is not that ,the more expensive the more better; choosing the suitable one is the best. This is more based on customer's testing and own decision.

We suggest that you can skip the single crystal diamond powder and directly test the polycrystalline diamond powder, if your workpiece is sapphires or electronic wafers.
